Nurturing future family lawyers
Liverpool and Southport Family Lawyer Samantha Bushell, of Brown Turner Ross, has partnered with Liverpool John Moores University to act as a mentor to postgraduate law students on the Legal Practice Course.
Samantha is a Partner at Brown Turner Ross and will offer her time to work with students for free on the Solicitor Mentoring Scheme run by Liverpool JMU. Students will have the opportunity to work with Samantha on a one to one basis and discuss their future and career options.
Samantha said:
"I understand what it is like for students wanting to get into law, it is a highly competitive and aggressive market, and I have experienced it so I know how difficult it can be. I decided to work with John Moores University on the mentoring programme as a way of helping out and guiding the future lawyers of tomorrow, investment in fresh talent is something we treasure at Brown Turner Ross."
Carol Maginn, Senior Lecturer at John Moores University said:
"We were delighted when Samantha agreed to work with our students; companies like Brown Turner Ross really do make a difference to the learning programme that students experience. Students who work with a mentor often find it to be an eye opening experience and highly valuable."
